Description
Become a Better Archer and Use It to Avoid Sinning is a unique publication that provides a wealth of information on how to learn archery, become a better archer, and also addresses bow setup and tuning. While much of the publication focuses on compound bow use, Sean also addresses how to use traditional archery equipment, including recurves, longbows, as well as Olympic-style archery shooting.
The second half of the book has a unique theological and spiritual twist not commonly found in a publication on archery. Springing from the concept that the word “sin” means the distance you miss the mark, Sean shows how archery techniques can help us avoid sinning in life. This is portrayed in Chapter 5. However, in order to identify what sin is and where it came from, Sean explains in Chapter 4 what God’s plan is for dealing with sin from a Catholic faith perspective. Through this explanation, Sean intentionally attempts to theologically challenge readers and hopes to compel them to consider becoming Catholic. He states his intention very clearly in the publication and even suggests that people skip Chapter 4 if they do not want to be theologically challenged by Catholic theology or do not want to feel the need to become Catholic.
